The beach area of the community yields a rewarding experience for the traveller wishing to view first hand the traditional Inuit way of life.  Here, hunters and fishermen return from the land and sea with their catches of the day.

In the winter, Whale Cove residents travel by snowmobile and kamutiqs (sleds), and these too are parked along the beach ready for the next season.
